Real Housewife of DC Sends Girls to the World Cup in South Africa

On June 30th, I attended a "Bon Voyage" celebration for eight local D.C. girls who are in the foster care system. Real Housewife of D.C. Staci Turner started an organization called Extra-Ordinary life which caters to youth in the foster care system. The organization helped fund the girls to go on a trip to South Africa during the World Cup games... Exciting right?? So here are some pictures from the event.

Staci Turner and Barbara Harrison along with the eight girls.
Paul Wharton
Senator Burris
Judge Jackson
I was lucky enough to get to interview Fashion guru Paul Wharton, Illinois senator Rowland Burris, Judge William M. Jackson, NBC 4 news reporter Barbara Harrison, Staci Turner herself, as well as the eight girls chosen for the trip. The ceremony was really nice and I enjoy it so much.
